Machine Learning Seminar Winter Term 2011/2012
Machine Learning Seminar - Winter Term 2011/2012
Content: Machine Learning meets Computer Vision
In this seminar, we will present and discuss selected topics related to machine learning and computer vision. Machine learning is aimed at devising algorithms that can learn from examples to tackle certain tasks. Computer Vision is the science and technology of machines that see. We will cope with how they are connected and how far we are to teach machines understanding their environment.

Certificate:
Obtaining a seminar certificate requires to give a presentation (30 minutes), including a demonstration in Matlab and C/C++, respectively. Finally a term paper has to be written. The paper should be limited to 6-8 pages and the ACM style should be used. The corresponding templates are available for LaTex and MS Word.Remarks:
We expect every student to show his slides to us at least two week before the actual presentation date (personally, not only by email!!!). If questions arise during preparation, do not hesitate to make an additional appointment with us.
