Applied Pattern Recognition Seminar - WS 2010/2011

Content:

Pattern Recognition is the ability to recognize regularities, recurrences, similarities or principles within huge datasets. This characteristic is essential for cognitive systems like the one of a human being. Thus pattern recognition is omnipresent and an important element of our workaday life. This seminar aims at demonstrating applications where pattern recognitions plays a key role. The students will deal with pattern recognition tasks in the field of Computer Vision and Biometrics.

Tutors:

Dr. Thomas Käster, Laura Pomarjanschi, Prof. Thomas Martinetz
