Venue

BIP 2005 will take place at Innovationszentrum Lübeck (IZL) in the heart of the historic old town.

Getting there

IZL is located across the street from St. Jacobi church. The address is Breite Straße 6–8. A map showing the location of the venue can be found on IZL's web page (click on "Anfahrtskizze" in the menu on the left).

From the hotels "Zur Alten Stadtmauer" and "Alte Stadtwache"

Walk uphill along "Mühlenstraße". Follow the slight bend in the road until you get to the beginning of the pedestrian zone ("Breite Straße"). Continue straight on through the pedestrian zone until you reach its end (at the distinctive glass-and-marble Telekom shop). Keep going straightahead along "Breite Straße". After about 100 metres, St. Jacobi church is on your right; IZL is across the street from the church.

It should take you about ten to fifteen minutes to get from the hotel to IZL.

From the hotels "Mövenpick" and "Radisson SAS"

Walk from the hotel to Lübeck's hallmark "Holstentor" gate, which you will probably have seen when you arrived – both hotels are close to the Holstentor. Walk past the gate, cross the bridge, and continue straight on along "Holstenstraße". After about 200 metres, the pedestrian zone ("Breite Straße") is on your left (a shoe shop called "Tack" is on the corner). Turn left into the pedestrian zone and continue as described above for the hotels "Zur Alten Stadtmauer" and "Alte Stadtwache".

It should take you about ten to fifteen minutes to get from the hotel to IZL.
